After working in a corporate setting, then at a local law firm, Dan started Sweeney Law in 2000 moving his practice to Madison Heights to better serve clients in all surrounding counties with greater access to the Lynchburg Expressway.

Dan is a graduate of VMI, and received his law degree from Washington & Lee University. A lifetime resident of the Lynchburg area, Dan and his wife Cindy have two grown children, a new grandson, and another on the way.

Christine joined the firm in 2018 after 12 years of teaching Physical Education at a local Christian school. Christine and her husband are transplants to the Lynchburg area since 1992, they have one grown daughter, and are very involved at Timberlake Church.

Cindy joined the firm in 2020 after 15 years of teaching elementary grades at a local Christian school. Cindy and Dan have two grown children, one grandson, another on the way, and they are enjoying this new season of working together.
